Arrival - Delhi Airport

- Transfer to hotel in Haridwar - check-in and freshen up
- Evening: Ganga Snan (holy dip) at Har Ki Pauri Ghat.
- Witness the magnificent Ganga Aarti - diyas illuminate the sacred river
- Dinner & overnight stay in Haridwar
Haridwar - Lakhamandal - Barkot
- Early breakfast - check out from hotel and begin the journey to Barkot via Mussoorie
- En route halt at Lakhamandal - visit the ancient Lakheswar Temple and explore the historic Pandava Cave
- Lunch served en route
- Continue drive to Barkot along the banks of the Yamuna River
- Check-in at hotel
- Dinner & overnight stay in Barkot
Barkot - Jankichatti - Yamunotri - Barkot
- Morning after breakfast - drive from Barkot to Jankichatti along the scenic Yamuna River (45 km, 1.5 hrs)
- From Jankichatti begin the 6 km trek to Yamunotri Dham
- Horses and palkis (palanquins) are available at Jankichatti for those who prefer - charges extra
- Reach Yamunotri Dham - perform pooja and darshan at the temple
- Ritual: cook rice and potatoes in the holy Surya Kund hot spring (bring cloth bag - offered to pilgrims)
- Return trek 6 km back to Jankichatti
- Drive back to Barkot
- Dinner & overnight stay
Barkot - Uttarkashi
- Morning after breakfast - Check out from hotel and drive to Uttarkashi(5 hrs.)
- The drive winds through dense pine and deodar forests with views of deep river gorges
- Arrive Uttarkashi - Check into hotel
- Afternoon - Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the adjacent Shakti Temple
- Evening - Stroll along the Bhagirathi River ghats in Uttarkashi
- Dinner & overnight stay in Uttarkashi
Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi
- Morning after breakfast - drive along the Bhagirathi River to reach Gangotri (3.5 hrs)
- En route stop at Gangnani - a small town with sacred thermal hot water springs (Rishikund) for a holy dip
- En route views of the dramatic Harshil valley - a picturesque Himalayan village surrounded by deodar and apple trees
- Reach Gangotri Temple - perform pooja and darshan at the sacred white marble temple on the banks of the Bhagirathi.
- Visit Surya Kund - where the Bhagirathi tumbles as a waterfall into a sacred pool; King Bhagirath is said to have worshipped the Sun God
- Begin drive back to Uttarkashi - arrive by evening
- Dinner & overnight stay in Uttarkashi
Uttarkashi - Guptkashi
- Morning after breakfast - check out and drive towards Guptkashi
- The route descends to Rishikesh, crosses the Alaknanda valley and climbs through the Mandakini River valley
- Arrive Guptkashi - check into hotel
- Afternoon - visit Ardhnarishwar Temple and Vishwanath Temple in the Guptkashi complex
- Evening - enjoy sunrise/sunset views of the Chaukhamba snow peaks from Guptkashi
- Dinner & overnight stay in Guptkashi
Guptkashi - Sonprayag - Gaurikund - Kedarnath Trek
- Early morning check-out - driver transfers you to Sonprayag / Seetapur
- From Sonprayag, hire local cab to Gaurikund (the trek base camp) government rule for all pilgrims
- Begin the iconic 18 km Kedarnath Trek from Gaurikund - the most famous trek in the Garhwal Himalayas
- Breakfast and lunch served on the way to Kedarnath
- Trek passes through Rambara, Linchauli and Kedardome base before arriving at Kedarnath
- Palkis and horses available at Gaurikund for those unable to trek - charges extra
- Arrive Kedarnath - check-in at Bhel Ashram or similar
- Evening darshan at Kedarnath Temple - one of India's most powerful spiritual experiences
- Overnight stay at Kedarnath (3,583 m)
Kedarnath - Gaurikund - Sonprayag - Guptkashi
- Early morning - attend the morning pooja and darshan at Kedarnath Temple
- After breakfast - begin the 18 km descent trek to Gaurikund
- The descent is easier but watch your footing - knees take the load use trekking poles if available.
- Reach Gaurikund - board local cab back to Sonprayag
- Driver waiting at Sonprayag - drive back to Guptkashi
- Arrive Guptkashi - check-in, rest and recover
- Dinner & overnight stay in Guptkashi
Guptkashi - Joshimath - Badrinath
- Morning after breakfast - begin drive towards Joshimath via Ukhimath
- En route stop at Ukhimath - visit the Omkareshwar Temple (winter abode of Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar deities)
- Continue to Joshimath - lunch stop and visit Narsingh Temple (main temple of Joshimath, winter seat of Badrinath)
- Drive from Joshimath to Badrinath (45 km) along the stunning Alaknanda valley
- Reach Badrinath by evening - check into Neelkanth Deluxe / Pawni Palace or similar
- Evening darshan at Badrinath Temple - attend the evening aarti on the banks of the Alaknanda
- Overnight stay in Badrinath
Mana Village - Drive To Pipalkoti
- Morning after breakfast - visit Mana Village (3 km from Badrinath) home to the Bhotiya tribe
- Explore Ganesh Gufa - the cave where Lord Ganesha wrote the Mahabharata as Sage Vyasa narrated it
- Visit Vyas Gufa - the sacred cave where Veda Vyasa composed the Mahabharata (outer facade resembles layered pages of a book)
- See the thundering Saraswati River - devotees collect its sacred water as blessings of Goddess Saraswati
- Cross Bheem Pul - the natural rock bridge over the Saraswati built by Bheem for Draupadi during the Pandava's ascent to heaven
- Begin the long drive down from Badrinath towards Pipalkoti.
Pipalkoti To Rishikesh
- Morning after breakfast - begin drive towards Rishikesh
- Stop at Devprayag - the most sacred of the PanchPrayags where Alaknanda meets Bhagirathi and becomes the Ganga
- Stop at Raghunathji Mandir, Devprayag - dedicated to Lord Vishnu/Ram, originally established by Adi Shankaracharya; Lord Ram is believed to have performed penance here after the Lanka war
- Continue drive to Rishikseh - arrive by afternoon.
- Check-in at hotel - evening free for Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan.
- Attend the Ganga Aarti one last time - a perfect full-circle closing of the yatra
- Dinner & Overnight stay in Rishikesh
Departure
- Morning after breakfast - check out from hotel
- Driver transfers you to Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport
