Arrival In Leh & Acclimatization
Upon arrival at Leh Airport, you will be warmly received and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, spend the day at leisure, allowing your body to acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3,500 meters). In the evening, if you feel comfortable, enjoy a short excursion to the
iconic Shanti Stupa, where you can witness panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains. Later, take a leisurely stroll through the
vibrant Leh Market, soaking in the local atmosphere.
Leh - Sham Valley Day Excursion
After breakfast, set out to explore the highlights of Sham Valley, one of the most scenic regions around Leh. Visit the Hall of Fame Museum, a tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army who made the ultimate sacrifice in defending the nation. Continue to Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a revered spiritual site associated with Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Proceed to the fascinating Magnetic Hill, famous for its unique optical illusion, followed by a visit to the serene Kali Temple. Later, witness the spectacular Sangam at Nimu, where the emerald waters of the Indus River meet the deep blue Zanskar River. Adventure enthusiasts may opt for river rafting here at their own expense. Return to Leh by evening.
Leh To Nubra Valley (128 Km | 4–5 Hours)
After breakfast, embark on a memorable drive to Nubra Valley via the legendary Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable roads. The journey offers breathtaking views of snow capped peaks and rugged mountain terrain. Upon arrival in Nubra Valley, check in to your hotel or camp and enjoy some time to relax amidst the tranquil surroundings. Take a peaceful walk along the banks of the Shyok River and admire the valley’s unique landscape. In the evening, you may enjoy an optional double humped Bactrian camel ride across the sand dunes between Diskit and Hunder.
Nubra Valley - Turtuk & Thang (Zero Point) Excursion
After breakfast, proceed towards the charming village of Turtuk, one of India’s northernmost inhabited villages and a hidden gem of Ladakh. Opened to tourists only in recent years, Turtuk is renowned for its distinct
Balti culture, picturesque scenery and fascinating history. Explore the
village’s traditional stone houses, ancient pathways and the old royal residence while enjoying stunning views of the Shyok Valley. Later, continue towards Thang Village, often referred to as Zero Point, located near the Line of Control (LOC), offering a unique glimpse into this strategically significant region. After sightseeing, return to Hunder by evening.
Nubra Valley To Pangong Lake Via Shyok Route (150 Km | 6–7 Hours)
After breakfast, drive towards the world-famous Pangong Lake via the scenic Shyok River route. The journey takes you through remote villages, dramatic mountain landscapes and ever changing Himalayan vistas. Upon arrival, check in to your camp near the lake. Spend the evening soaking in the mesmerizing beauty of Pangong, renowned for its crystal clear waters that change shades throughout the day. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the lakeshore and witness a magical sunset over the surrounding mountains.
Pangong Lake To Leh Via Chang La Pass
Wake up to the serene beauty of Pangong Lake before beginning your journey back to Leh via the mighty Chang La Pass, one of Ladakh’s highest mountain passes. En route, visit the magnificent Hemis Monastery, one of the richest and most important monasteries in Ladakh. Continue to Thiksey Monastery, famed for its impressive architecture and giant Maitreya Buddha statue. Later, visit the historic Shey Palace, once the summer residence of Ladakh’s royal family. Arrive in Leh by evening and enjoy free time to explore the local market, shop for souvenirs or simply relax.
